Each year, Pantone names the new Color of The Year and a new collection of updated colors. I combined 2017-2024 all in one stylesheet called fashion-colors.css. All of the color stylesheets used here are license free and linked in the footer.
Pantone created color palettes shown in each collection. This section uses the 2021 colors of the year Illuminating and Ultimate Gray in a palette called Bee Okay.

"In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless." - Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute
The color Viva Magenta wants to promote optimism and joy; experimentation and self-expression without inhibitions, without scruples, without fear. Viva Magenta is assertive and unyielding, without aggression. Pantone calls it a "fist in a velvet glove." Exuding dynamism and ready to go forward. -Pantone CEO Leatrice Eiseman.
Very Peri, the bluest purple and Pantone's 2022 Color of the Year, conveys mystery. Orange and fuchia are bright and adventurious companions in an intriguing color story on dusk blue tourmaline background.
At the beginning of 2021 the world was just seeing the availability of covid vaccines and the outside of their homes after a year of precautions and isolation. Pantone appropriately chose colors of hope, inspiration (Illuminating), security, and endurance (Ultimae Gray). This dynamic duo is a spark to inspire resuming life in our communities, and the security to once again safely gather with those we love.
Pantone's 2020 Color of the Year is Classic Blue, a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk. "It's a color that anticipates what's going to happen next," said Laurie Pressman, the vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, which selects the Color of the Year.
Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature's greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
